Welcome to the new Roanoke Public Library blog!
Greetings! My name is Alicia, and I started work as the new Adult Services Librarian here at Roanoke Public Library in January. I am working on programming that I hope will interest our adult patrons, and Sarah and I are also planning some programs that are suitable for both teens and adults. If you have suggestions for programs you’d like to see, or if there are things you would like to see on the shelves (Adult fiction, non-fiction, DVDs, games), let me know. It’s my goal and my priviledge to help grow our library.
A little bit about me (thanks, Sarah). I like sci-fi novels, blues dancing, gardening, circus skills, coffee, playing ukulele, and writing skits for the television show I want to make someday. I am an amateur photographer and professional videographer in my down time. I am currently reading “Tiny World Terrariums” by Michelle Inciarrano & Katy Maslow, and have plans for making terrariums as gifts for many of my friends. My favorite quote is “Follow your bliss,” attributed to Joseph Campbell.
