Notes from the Information Desk…

By on December 3, 2015

Did you know you can find more than just books in the library? Sure you did! But did you know we have online resources as well? Okay, you probably knew that too, but what you may not know is that our online resource, Mango Languages, has an American Sign Language course! It is my hope to eventually have an ASL class here in the library, but until I can do that, I direct your attention to our Online Services page, where you will find a link to Mango Languages. Now, you will need a Roanoke Library card to access the language classes, but it’s well worth it. Cards are free to Roanoke residents and a mere $10 for non-residents (unless you get a TexShare card from your local library and bring it in to us). As we run flailing into the new year, do yourself a favor and make it a point to learn something new. Perhaps American Sign Language? We can test out our conversation skills on each other when I see you in the library.

Merry, Happy, Joyeaux, Feliz, and Blessed Holiday Season to you all!
